Strategies for AI adoption

A new blog post from Microsoft cites some best practices for strategies around AI adoption in higher education. Important here is to develop an AI strategy that aligns with the core mission and to prioritise valuable AI applications. By using low-code tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat, institutions can quickly implement AI solutions. In addition, using PaaS solutions such as Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry provides opportunities for customisation.

For intensive compute workloads, IaaS solutions such as Azure CycleCloud and Kubernetes are recommended. A hybrid AI strategy, combining SaaS, PaaS and IaaS solutions, offers a balance between speed, scalability and customisation.

These best practices help educational institutions not only improve operational efficiency, but also transform their teaching and research activities. By integrating AI into daily processes, institutions can be more responsive to the needs of students and researchers, while enhancing their competitiveness.
