New layout Microsoft 365

You may have already noticed*, Microsoft introduced a new layout for its Microsoft 365 platform. The aim is to provide users with an improved and more intuitive experience. The revamped interface is designed to increase productivity and facilitate collaboration. The new layout of Microsoft 365 focuses on simplicity and accessibility as well as the use of Copilot. So it will take some getting used to the new look. We'll guide you through it.

  1. Search: At the top, you can use the search bar to type in a fragment of a file name or the name of someone you worked with. As you type, you will immediately get a list of possible files, people... By the way, below that you will find all your recent files.
  2. Chat: This is where you will find your Copilot and thus you can use generative AI as your assisent. Note that underneath, you have 3 (number depending on permission) tabs to work on further.
    • Agents: Here you will find specialised Copilots. You can create these yourself or call them up from the library. Be sure to browse. There are lots of interesting Agents in there. (Want to know more about Agents? Edu-Versity | Copilot Studio: Maak je eigen Copilot agent)
    • Conversations: This is where you will find your recent conversations with Copilot. Keep in mind that there is no eternal list here. If you really want to keep track of something, save it in Pages or another application.
    • Pages: Copilot results you saved via Pages.
  3. Notebooks: Maybe you don't have this tab yet. Notebooks allows you to bring everything together: chats, files, pages, meeting notes... Copilot can then analyse everything and offer you quick insights to create new content if needed.
  4. Create: From here, you can quickly start a new document in Word, PowerPoint, Excel... with or without a template.
  5. Apps: All your favourite apps can be found here. If you like this, you can pin them and they will be neatly listed under 'Apps'.
